JIM BUTTON,
TELLING TALES.

We're all Connected

My friend Avnish has been working with a group to collectively help repair my arm through visualization.

You may remember Avnish as the one that identified my cancer in my lungs at the same time as my Oncologist (see Buffalo Soldier). He has been deep into mindfulness and meditation for the majority of his life and he’s gotten quite proficient at going into his ‘creation laboratory’, a meditative space in his mind, where he works through life’s adventures.

When he told me that he was working with others to try and help repair my arm I was a bit taken aback as the idea of so many people thinking about helping me was very heartwarming and humbling. I found the concept very appealing and highly interesting so I asked Avnish to outline what he and his team have been up to.

Here is his perspective:

The amazing part of about having a relationship with Jim is that with him, you truly get a one-on-one relationship. Jim is relatable to each one of us in different ways. For me, I try and see Jim every day; If I not in person, I see him in my ‘creation laboratory’, the place in my mind ‘s eye that I visit when I meditate. It is space I have created and can ‘see’, and it offers me infinite tools, knowledge, and space to find solutions any concerns I may have. Every time I visit my lab, my experience and ability to ‘see’ and hold details improves.

When I saw the pictures of Jim’s arm, it was a chance to focus my healing practice on something other than his pancreas and other internal systems. We could localize the healing and have the potential to directly see the results. Like with any practice, the ability to see the results of your work is essential, and here was a chance to heal Jim while using his arm as an experiment on the power of the mind. I mean, Jim is open to all types of healing, so why not this?

I had visions of the doctors being shocked at how quickly the wound healed and I could ‘hear’ them talking about how amazing Jim was. I heard his medical team talk about how the wound was closing quickly and that there was nothing to worry about. I heard them saying that Jim’s skin was thickening and that he wouldn’t require any invasive medical procedures. I saw the bandages coming off and there be nothing left but a superficial scar.

Many of you reading this are on your own spiritual path and have your own healing practices. The beauty of it all is that there is no wrong way and that all ways are helpful. I visited my lab after reading about Jim’s fall, my Guides suggested that I connect with a group of people to help focus our energies on Jim’s arm. I started to reach out to the people I thought would be able and willing to help. Each of them has a completely different spiritual practice and they all enthusiastically took up the endeavour. Some of them healed Jim while they were on the water kayaking, some healed him as they were walking their dog. A few created a planned energy session for Jim and others just brought Jim into their healing as it inspired them.

The best part of this group coming together is that it is helping. Jim’s arm has started to improve and heal. We know with his medical situation that this is going to take some time but we will persevere alongside him.

Take this chance to explore your own visualization practice and see how you can help heal Jim’s arm. It might be painting on new skin or cheering on his skin to regenerate. It might be finding a mystical plant in the amazon that aids in skin regrowth or using a sewing kit to close the wound. It can be anything and the more hyperbolic and whimsical the concept, the easier it is to ‘see’ it. Play around with different ideas and figure out what works for you and let us know if it’s successful. Try it and then try it some more; this is not about perfection, it is about getting better and better.

Thank you to Tanya Koshowski, David Tadman, Hafiz Mitha, Jeff Popiel, Fraser Abbott, and Bijal Mehta for your kindness.

Patience
